Pretty sure the guy says "I love this country" at some point in the vid.

Damn that is some good patriotism
I guess the policeman had enough b.s. for one day and couldn't be bothered to arrest them

I was very unimpressed with Elfen Lied and that's supposed to be a fantastic anime.

It's not really fantastic at all. Welcome to the world of anime, where most things are overhyped by fanboys, EL being one of those things.

    That was an over-hyped anime.
I remember liking it at one point, but then reasoning kicked in. It doesn't completely and utterly fail, it's just a disappointment.

I think my biggest disappointments with the overall plot were
    Spoiler warning:
the leader was 1. an undeveloped generic bad guy character with little to no reason given for why he was evil, he just was and 2. he never actually does anything in the story, he appears in the last episode to make a few statements but really does nothing. Secondly on the part of the main character, going off with a girl who slaughtered your family, GREAT IDEA.

1.) I would say, try , just try to look at the manga, it goes in a bit more depth for the "generic bad guy"
2.) The ending was the most anti-climactic ending imo.
3.) Love is blind (for him it must be blind, deaf, and crippled )

    1. I spoke to someone who read the manga also and he had a similar complaint about the story.
    2. I agree.

4 minutes and 19 seconds of glorious manliness that mops the floor with most anime these days. One of the few shows that (for the most part) lived up to the hype IMO.

In terms of recent anime that I really enjoyed, Steins;gate was great, it certainly wasn't the best anime ever but it was very entertaining.

I refrain from naming anything the best ever, honestly. But Steins;Gate was indeed a fun watch.

I should finish watching Steins; Gate, just never got around to it.
My thirst for good anime is going away

I know the feeling. For me it's just watching a really good one to spark my interest again.

Hell, the second season of Code Geass killed my interest in anime for like a year and a half, it was such a trainwreck.

I lost my interest in anime for four years and slowly regained it but it's not as strong as it once was, I still prefer tv shows.
